Our top football teams from Pembrokeshire were involved in cup and league action on Saturday.
Hakin United came from behind to win 3-1 against Goodwick United and progress into round three of the FAW Trophy. Rob Morgans buried an early penalty that gave the visitors a one-goal half time lead, in the second half the Vikings got on top and replied with goals by Adam Davies, Nathan Banner and Nicky Woodrow.
In the first division, West Dragons moved to the top of the table, keeping their unbeaten record with a 2-1 win at home against Herbrandston. Player manager Matthew Price scored twice from the spot to secure their fifth win in a row, as Shane Walsh waltzed through for his side’s only goal.
Angle suffered a heavy 3-8 defeat at Windmill Lane against Tenby. Nathan Ferrier (2), Ben Adams (penalty) netted for the homesters while Joe Leahy (3), Daryl Mansbridge, Jerome Mansbridge, Sam Christopher and Alex Harley found the back of the net for the visitors.
Milford United suffered a disappointing 1-3 defeat at home against Narberth. Liam Phillips, Dorian Davies and Dylan Blain scored for the Bluebirds, plus McCauley MacKay scored the Robins’ solitary goal.
Neyland secured three points with a comfortable 3-0 victory at home against out of sorts Merlins Bridge. Mikey Chandler, Wayne Parry and Justin Harding grabbed the goals for the happy Nomads.
St Clears suffered 2-4 defeat at home against Pennar Robins. Nick Rees and Steve Thomas scored for The Saints, while toe Robins sealed the precious points with goals by Patrick McDonagh (2), Wayne Brunton, Richard Hughes (penalty).
