There were not any real upsets in the Senior Cup first round ties played on Saturday.
Angle proved too strong for St Ishmaels, the home outfit won 6-2, thanks to Ben Adams (2), Jake Seaton, Chris Richards, Scott Richards and Nick Willis scoring for the homesters, while Ali Robertson and Andrew Howells replied for the visitors.
In an all Division One affair, Carew lost 1-4 at home against Merlins Bridge with Scott Fearney scoring his side’s only goal, Nathan Greene (2), Simon Thomas and Stephen McNabney added the goals for the Wizards.
Clarbeston Road won 5-1 in an all Division two tie, Jason Griffiths (3), Steven Dockerty, Ben John netted for the Road, Jake Davies scored Villa’s only goal.
Fishguard Sports routed Haverfordwest Cricket Club 9-0; there were hat tricks apiece for Niall Kinsella and Matthew Morgan, and one each for Lewis Banks, Jamie Vaughan and Ryan Howells.
Holders Goodwick United won 3-1 at home against fellow Division One outfit Pennar Robins. Rob Morgans (2) and Jonny Horgan scored for The Phoenix Lads, whilst Jamie Groves netted for the visitors.
Herbrandston won 5-3 in a nigh scoring affair against Cosheston Cougars, Alex Ouzman claimed a brilliant hat-trick alongside goals from Herbie team mates Darren Devonald and a penalty by Shane Walsh.
Dylan Davies (3), Luke Phillips, Aaron Goldsmith and Geraint Lewis helped Hundleton to a convincing 6-0 win against Kilgetty at home.
Joe John (3), Jamie Ashman scored for Johnston who won 4-3 at home against fellow First Division rivals St Clears, Steve Thomas (2) and Josh Jones netted for the visitors.
Lamphey lost 2-6 at home against Hakin United, Rhys Griffiths and Ben Phillips scored for the homesters, with Ashley Bevan (2), Adam Davies (2), James Stanmore and Ben Steele scoring goals for The Vikings.
Lawrenny lost 1-2 at home against Monkton Swifts, Owen James netted for the homesters but the Swifts sealed victory with goals from Dan Scourfield and Dean Scourfield.
