Goodwick United will play Hakin United in the fourth round if The Vikings beat Gorseinon Athletic
Goodwick United will possibly play Hakin United that was the main talking point as the West Wales Intermediate Cup fourth round draw was done earlier this week.
It’s a tasty prospect for Pembrokeshire football fans, if the Vikings can overcome Gorseinon Athletic in their third round tie, then their reward is a tough trip to Phoenix Park to face Goodwick United on Saturday, February 6th. So there’s a good chance of a Pembrokeshire team reaching the last eight of this prestigious cup competition, with the final always played at the Liberty Stadium, home of Premier League outfit Swansea City in May.
Two other first division outfits were also in the hat for draw that was held at The Glen Hotel, Haverfordwest and proceedings conducted by WWFA assistant secretary Ceri Richards, with Pembrokeshire League chairperson Rowena Lloyd and Merlins Bridge chairman Dekker Thomas, pulling the numbers out of the bag.
Third round ties will see Neyland having to beat Maltsters Sports to earn the right to play away at Ystradgynlais in the next round, and The Wizards will have to defeat Pontarddulais Town in round three before they will get a chance to have a crack at either Morriston Town or Seven Sisters away.
