 Football is back in full flow with exciting cup and league action
At last there was a full Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League programme went ahead on Saturday, as the weather was cold but amazingly dry!
 
Fishguard Sports lost 0-5 against derby rivals Goodwick United in the Senior Cup quarter final, Rob Morgans claimed a stunning hat-trick alongside further goals from Johnny Horgan and Adam Raymond to progress into the semi finals.
 
Monkton Swifts have reached the Senior Cup quarter-finals winning 7-2 at Pendine. Robbie Watters netted both goals for the homesters whist there was a brace each for the Swifts’ James Russell and Ben Nicholas and one goal apiece for Ryan Griffiths, Dan Scourfield and Tom Meiring.
 
There were six games played in the First Division and Johnston have closed the gap to within a point of leaders Goodwick United after winning 4-2 in Neyland. Gary Power and Henry Durrant gave the Nomads a two-goal cushion but the Tigers roared back to secure the points with goals from Adam Hawkins (2), Joe John and Ryan Doyle.Football is back in full flow with exciting cup and league action
 
Carew climbed out of the relegation zone with an excellent 2-0 win at Angle, Dean Morris scored twice for the delighted Rooks.
 
Milford United narrowly lost 1-2 at home to St Clears. Ben Aldred scored for the Robins but Sean Seymour Davies scored a brace that earned the Saints three precious points.
 
Narberth lost 2-3 at home against Merlins Bridge in an exciting clash at Jesse Road. Nathan Thomas and James Skudder gave the Wizards a two-goal cushion, but back came Narberth with goals from Jordan Williams and Ashley Williams to square matters, but right at the death Jordan Raymond got the winner for the visitors.
 
Pennar Robins lost 0-2 at home against champions Hakin United. The Vikings sealed the win with goals in the second half by Ben Steele and Daniel Armstrong.
 
West Dragons sealed a thrilling 5-3 victory against Tenby at the Pavilion. Nathan Greene scored a brilliant hat-trick alongside goals from team-mates Steve Allen (penalty) and Scott Crawford. The Seasiders goal scorers were Sam Christopher, Scott Ferney and an own goal.
