 There were some excellent league and cup football matches played in Pembrokeshire on Saturday.
 
The biggest result of the afternoon was at Ystradgynlais where Goodwick United won 3-0 to march into the West Wales Intermediate Cup semi finals. Rhys Dalling bagged a brace alongside a late strike from Adam Raymond.
 
There were three Senior Cup quarter finals played on Saturday. Starting at Marble Hall, where Milford United won 2-0 against Monkton Swifts of the Second Division. Chris Thompson and Ben Aldred scored a goal apiece in each half to seal their semi final fate.
 
Second Division outfit Hundleton lost 2-6 against Johnston at home. Rhodri Davies scored both the home outfit’s goals, but the Tigers roared to victory with goals from Joe John (3), Joey George, Scott Murray (penalty) and Luke Hayward.
 
In an all First Division tie, Narberth lost 0-2 at home against Hakin United. Nicky Woodrow and Ben Steele bagged the vital goals in the first period to see the Vikings into the last four.
 
So the semi finalists in the hat for the draw are Goodwick United, Milford United, Hakin United and Johnston.
 
There were also four games played in the Manderwood Pembrokeshire FootbaExcellent day in the cup for Pembrokeshireclubsll League First Division.
 
The Haverfordwest derby clash between Merlins Bridge and West Dragons finished 2-2 on the Racecourse. Steve McNabney scored twice for the Wizards and Ashley Prior and Jordan Thomas netted for the Dragons.
 
Carew gained a crucial 1-0 victory at home against Tenby; Alex Bailey netted a second half winner for the Rooks.
 
Herbrandston gained a comfortable 4-2 victory against Angle at home. Alex Ouzman, Tom Philpot, Marc Gelona and Ashton Plunkett found the back of the net for the homesters, whilst Gareth Howells and Josh Clarke netted for the visitors.
 
Struggling St Clears lost 2-4 at home against Neyland. Sean Seymour Davies and Nathan Evans bagged goals for the luckless Saints, but the Nomads sealed victory with a brace from Wayne Parry and a goal each for Mike Chandler and Justin Harding.
