The Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League is well underway as PembrokeshireSport.co.uk features the games that took place in the First Division and takes a look on how our teams got on in the FAW Trophy.

Neyland took advantage to go top of the table with a 2-4 victory at Angle. Geraint Rees netted a brace alongside goals for Wayne Parry and Justin ‘Skinny’ Harding. Connor Willis and Nathan Ferrier scored for the homesters.

West Dragons are in second spot after their comfortable 5-0 win at home against Carew. Scott Crawford grabbed a hat-trick and Nathan Greene and Ashley Williams also scored for one of the season’s title favourites.

Last season’s Division Two champions Monkton Swifts gained an emphatic 5-1 at home against Milford United, Rhys Griffiths (2), Ben Nicholas, Daniel ‘Smurf’ Scourfield and Jason Finnegan all found the back of the net, and Neil Mathias scored the Robins’ solitary effort.

New boys Lamphey gained an excellent 3-0 win at Pennar Robins.  Sam Southcott scored a brace against his former team mates and Ross Fortune headed home to secure the points.

Sean O’Neill scored a stunning hat-trick to help Narberth to a 4-0 victory at home against Johnston; Tony Evans added a goal that earned The Bluebirds their second win from three starts.

Three teams from Pembrokeshire all picked up excellent victories in their respective FAW Trophy ties.

Hakin United were 2-2 after 90 minutes at home against Cefn Cribwr, but in extra time The Vikings added five further goals to romp to a 7-2 victory. Ben Steele and Nicky Woodrow scored a hat-trick apiece alongside a solitary Bradley Barrett.

Goodwick United won 3-1 at home against Penclawdd. Anthony Couzens, Jordan Griffiths and Charlie Davies netted for the Phoenix Lads.

Merlins Bridge won 4-5 in a thrilling tie at Kilvey United. Wizards’ striker Joe Leahy scored four times alongside a Luke Hayward winner.
