Wizards beat derby rivals Clarby

Merlins Bridge have moved to second in the table after they overcame derby rivals Clarbeston Road in a highly entertaining clash.
It was Matthew Ellis’ Clarby outfit who led 1-0 at half time, thanks to Matthew Griffiths who struck the back of the net in the 17th minute.
Shortly after the interval the Wizards equalised through substitute Tom Jago, minutes later Alfie Stotter was on target with the third, after he was set-up by skipper Joe Leahy.
In the 72nd minute Leahy drilled in the fourth, for his second goal of the game, ten minutes from full time Richard Bevan made no mistake from the spot as the visitors currently sit second from bottom.

Rooks fight back for draw at Monkton
Monkton Swifts 4 – Carew 4
Carew came from 4-1 adrift to fightback for a draw against Monkton Swifts at Monkton Lane.
The Swifts will not be happy they surrendered a good lead against the Rooks, but full credit to Ceri Brace’s side for their ‘never give up’ attitude.
In the 20th minute Adam Musket scored the opener, eight minutes later Dylan Davies equalised from the spot, in 35th minute Paul Miller set-up Blake James who added his side’s second.
On the stroke of half time Muskett missed a penalty as the Rooks were narrowly 2-1 down at the break.
Early in the second half the Swifts came out all guns blazing as Declan Carroll drilled home the third, in 57th minute Blake James put his side 4-1 ahead.
At that stage it looked like as if it were a formality that the hosts would go on and secure the win, but the Rooks dug deep and staged a tremendous fight back.
In 61st minute Sean Whitfield made no mistake with a penalty, nine minutes later Marcus Griffiths added the third, in the 83rd minute Muskett equalised to earn his side an unlikely point.
