Swifts come behind to beat Kilgetty

Monkton Swifts came from behind to secure a hard fought victory against Kilgetty at Monkton Lane.
 
Chris Lloyd’s Swifts’ outfit trailed with only ten minutes on the clock following a goal mouth melee where Steve Thomas was credited with the final scoring touch.
 
The hosts had the majority of the rest of the half which saw Paul Miller and Declan Carroll both rattle Ben Evans’ woodwork.
 
Three minutes after the break the Swifts levelled matters as Ben Steele set-up Miller who made no mistake.
 
Ten minutes from full time Declan Carroll gave his team a slender lead, in the 85th minute Steele drilled in the third to secure the points which has lifted the Swifts up to third in the table whilst Kilgetty are eighth.

Hattrick hero Ben sees Clarby to victory 

 

Pennar Robins 3 – Clarbeston Road 6

 
Ben John scored a superb first half hat-trick which inspired Clarbeston Road to victory in a high scoring clash against Pennar Robins at Bush Camp.
 
The visitors raced into a 4-1 lead at half time, striker John scored in the 5th, 17th and 40th minutes, plus Steff Williams hit back of net in the 19th minute which put Matthew Fox’s Clarby Road troops in total control.
 
However, Pennar mounted a serious comeback as Phil Thompson who scored in first half added his second of the match in the 48th minute. The hosts continued to press and an own goal saw them right back in the game trailing 4-3.
 
The visitors restored composure before they added their fifth through Jake Booth plus skipper Rheinallt George struck a decisive sixth to secure the Road’s fifth win of the season.

Nomads do double over rock bottom Saints

 

St Clears 1 – Neyland 4

 
Corey Richards struck a first half brace which helped Neyland to an important win at St Clears that has put them five points clear of the relegation dogfight.
 
Nomads boss Gavin Rowland will be happy man to witness his team have picked up the double against bottom of the table Saints with ten games to go until end of season.
 
Richards struck in the 40th and 45th minutes which gave the Nomads a 2-0 cushion at the interval.
 
In the 53rd minute Leon Barrett struck the third, the Nomads also they added a fourth scored by Max Bowman-Davies which has put their side in a commanding position.
 
In the 82nd minute the Saints were awarded a penalty that Jon Seeley comfortably despatched  – albeit a consolation.

Tish fightback for draw with Wizards

 

St Ishmaels 2 – Merlins Bridge 2

 
St Ishmaels came from two goals down to secure a precious point against Merlins Bridge.
 
Jay Kennedy’s Wizards will see this as a missed opportunity to go clear at top of table as they are now second on same points as leaders Goodwick, the latter have a game in hand – whilst Tish remain second from bottom but are on same points as Pennar, who are one place above them.
 
The visitors opened the scoring in the eighth minute as new signing Jordan Richards from Carew found the back of Owen Thomas’ net.
 
Three minutes before half time Sam Christopher added his side’s second goal which put them in control.
 
However, the second half told a different story as Tish mounted a serious fightback. In the 65th minute Joel Morgan pulled one back, then a minute later Kieran Rendell equalised as they the Wizards on the ropes.
 
In the 75th minute new Wizards recruit Williams picked up a second yellow card and was sent for an early shower, down to ten-men they managed to hang on for a point as Tish searched for an elusive winner.
