Umpires: Glyn Pawlett and Philip Tallett
Kilgetty were the county under 15 winners for 2013 as they beat Nayland in a match that was recently played at St Ishmaels on a sunny night and excellent pitch thanks to Tish groundsman Mel Williams.
Kilgetty batted first and thanks to accurate bowling were restricted to 95 for 4 in their 20 overs, with Kurtis Marsh (32) and Jack Parkinson (37 not out).
In reply Neyland found scoring difficult against excellent bowling and fielding by the Kilgetty youngsters, scoring 82 for 5 in reply as Phil Llewellyn topped their batting with 39 not out
Georgina presented the trophy
Kilgetty received their winners’ trophy from Georgina Morgan, daughter of John Bowen, who donated the trophy many years ago in conjunction with Stanley Richards.
Neyland received their trophy from Mr Colin John, Senior Partner at Llewelyn Davies, sponsors of the Junior League.
After the presentations, both teams and supporters enjoyed a wonderful buffet provided by Wendy Bradshaw, Pat Williams and her sister Nicky.
Junior league organiser Phil Tallett would like to thank everyone at St Ishmaels for their help on an excellent day’s cricket.
