Beat the Expert - Week 4 : fixtures for 15th December 2012
Daisy Picton beats The Expert to claim yet another tee shirt in time for Christmas
Daisy Picton finally came out on top by beating The Expert by an overall 21-19 total. Daisy used all his flower power to outwit his opponent for the second time in three years. The Expert won 6-5 this week to claim his second victory over Daisy in four weeks of predictions.“Well done Daisy,†said a rather sporting Expert. “I left myself to much to do and in the end the best man won. I'm disappointed there were some games postponed this week as they were my bankers, but that's the luck of the draw.â€
'Snowdrop' three points clear of The Expert
The Expert pulled back a point against someone he is now calling 'Snowdrop' Picton last week but it leaves David Albert Edward 'Daisy' Picton still three points clear moving into the last of their four weeks of tipping confrontation.
“He did manage to pip me last Saturday but I was very relaxed because I knew I had him on the run,†said a confident Mr Picton, “but I have been back to looking at form every chance I have had and it will pay off this week.â€
“I know The Expert was mad last Saturday because I got my own club's score dead right and so picked up a vital bonus point. He blustered to me about suspicious scorelines but he knows that I am a great sportsman as well as the top tipster.â€
The Hakin United linesman's comments brought an angry grunt from our resident 'Mr Grumpy'.
“Without that scoreline right I would be only two points behind 'Snowdrop' but perhaps that is to the good because I can see he is over-confident so I might still pull a win out of the fire this weekend
“He knows how much I hate losing to him so this is a big weekend.
“I've had more phone calls from Hakin and even from Manderwood Timber asking me to beat him because they are fed up of his boasting. So look out Snowdrop – I've got your footballing colleagues on my side!â€
This Saturday is where the result will be decided and the variety of tee-shirt that our little flower will receive!
Remember the format – there is one point for a correct forecast and a bonus point for getting the scoreline correct!â€

Snowdrop's Forecasts:
Division one
Goodwick United 3 - Monkton Swifts 2
This is bound to be close, with Benno Jones back at the Swifts giving them a lift, but I think it will still be a narrow home win!Hakin United 4 - Neyland 1
We know that Neyland are a good side so we won't be under-estimating them – but we are on top form so should have too much fire-power for them.Narberth 5 - Solva 0
Solva will battle all the way but I have to go for Narberth to win comfortable at Jesse Road.Pennar Robins 2 - Merlins Bridge 2
The Bridge haven't been playing well and Pennar are always hard to beat at Bush Camp so I'll sit on the fence here and go for a draw!Saundersfoot Sports 2 - Johnston 1
Saundersfoot need points after losing to us last weekend but Johnston will push them all the way – but I think the Sports will win by the odd goal.Tenby 2 - St Ishmaels 2
I know The Expert will say I'm sitting on the fence again but I really do think these teams will cancel each other out and pick up a point apiece!Division Two
Angle 0 - West Dragons 2
The Dragons are in good nick and should get promotion this season – and although Angle will push them all the way it is the Dragons for me to win by two clear goals.
Clarbeston Road 3 - Carew 0
Clarbie have had two tough cup matches on the trot and will find it a little easier back in second division action so I'll go for them to win with a little in hand.Herbrandston 5 - Letterston 1
Herbie are a useful side and if they are on their best form they will win this one with ease.Kilgetty 1 - Milford Athletic 3
Kilgetty are traditionally strong at Kingsmoor but the Athletic are capable of snatching a good away win in this match.
