Beat the Expert - Week 4 : fixtures for 23rd February 2013
The Expert gains an easy victory over the 'Paper Boy' Fraser Watson
The Expert claimed a comfortable 16-11 overall victory over Fraser 'Paper Boy' Watson. The Expert won this week's predictions by a comfortable 6-4 margin. "Never mind Fraser there's always next season to beat me!" crowed The Expert. "But personally I think you stick to playing rugby as your football and tipping skills are not really up to scratch. I really hope you enjoy wearing that 'I lost to The Expert' tee shirt? And good look for the rest of the season. Judging by these set of results you are definitely going to need it!"
Is it the last post for the 'Paper Boy'?
Fraser Watson is in real trouble in his first-ever duel with The Expert as he finds himself three points adrift with just Saturday's six first division matches to try and catch up.
"Fair play to the expert, he was well on top last weekend and it will take nigh on a miracle to make up the deficit on Saturday. Still, I can only do my best and in the final analysis there is only one result that matters this weekend and that's Swansea City on Sunday!"
“I have taken a few chances with my predictions this week,†admitted young Watson, “and I just hope he will play the game and not just play safe. If I lose I will wear my 'I almost beat the Expert' tee-shirt with pride because it has been great fun. I have had some fearful 'stick' on Facebook, especially from Joe John after I predicted a Kilvey Fords win against Johnston and Joe scored five goals in the Tigers 10-1 win!â€
His attempts at being nice certainly haven't worked with The Expert:
“Now isn't that typical of the youth of today. He's just a paper boy and all he can think of is Swansea City. I bet he'll be gallivanting to Wembley to watch them play and I have to sit at home and watch on television. I notice he has picked Solva to win in the hope he'll appease them – not a chance!â€
“I might even veto the tee-shirt unless he does better – and buy him a Bradford City one instead!
So will the 'Paper Boy' beat 'The Expert'? We shall see on Saturday evening!
Remember the format – there is one point for a correct forecast and a bonus point for getting the scoreline correct!â€

Fraser's Forecasts:
Division One:
Hakin United 3 - Merlins Bridge 2
It should be close and there should be goals aplenty. Nothing but a win will do for Bridge while at the same time the Vikings know three points for them will effectively end the Wizards title chances. With their home record this season, I'll go for Hakin to nick it.
Hundleton 1 - Narberth 3
I didn't expect Narberth to be held last week and losing Sean Pemberton up front is a blow to them. But I think they will win here.
Monkton Swifts 1 - Tenby 2
These are two teams who are really hard to predict at the moment. Tenby's season is finally picking up while the Swifts are stuttering, yet they are always tough at home. I'll go for the away side but not with a great deal of conviction.
Neyland 1 - Goodwick United 2
Neyland ended their losing run last Saturday while Goodwick laboured a bit against Hundleton. But if they are at full strength, I think Steve Blackford's men start slight favourites.
Pennar Robins 1 - Solva 2
In the corresponding fixture my prediction said Pennar (Solva won 3-0) and my mate Jason Cole has given me grief ever since. The leg-pulling has been even more so since I went to Anfield with him last Sunday to see his beloved Liverpool hammer the Swans. So this time, I'll go with Solva.
Saundersfoot Sports 2 - Johnston 4
Last week I changed my mind with Johnston and backed Kilvey Fords, which proved a grave error! Saundersfoot are a good side who have done brilliantly this season, but with their momentum and form you have to say The Tigers.
